I don’t think the Pope should ever call another person un-Christian. I feel as if the Catholic church does many unbiblical things, but that does not make a catholic un-christian. I also feel as if the Pope is personally attacking Trump over the immigration/wall issue. Below are a few Bible verses that the Catholic church seems to over look.
I’m will not go into depth about everything I find “off” about the catholic religion because I don’t believe that anything mankind does it perfect. However, here are a few verses I find important that seem to be overlooked by the Vatican.
Calling priests father
Matthew 23:9: “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.“
Creating statues of saints and other religious figures
Lev 26:1: “Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the LORD your God.“
Praying through Mary as way to reach God
1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”
About holding Mary higher than other women
Luke 11:27-28: As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
