To Learn Something about Anything

“The Willingness to Learn Something about Anything”

“Life comes down to our willingness to wonder about something and having the courage to know anything.” —  quoted from the Universe to Thadd Presley

When I contemplate original ideas and create art, I feel invincible. Absolutely nothing can measure up to the things I dream and bring into reality. Nothing can take away the emotions I release into the world as long as they truly come from my heart and mind. I’m not just another creative power of the universe. I know it comes off as weak and unimportant sometimes, but my power comes directly from the source of all things. The Creator entrusted me with certain creative powers and I use them to create my world and the worlds of those closest to me. What I create is both a gift from me to the universe and a gift from the universe to me, working in unison with powers and beings with no true description in our dimension. A gift from a society completely incorruptible and eternal granting the ability to bring forth lifetimes of timelines and fill them with beautiful experiences and powerful revelations that are only understood by those who have witnessed the unlimited capacity to love and receive love. It’s easy to love those who loved you first. It is all about love.

Then, there comes upon me a darkness, such times I begin to doubt my origins and I start to think that I’m not from a special part of the inner sanctum. I think that I’m just another sheep standing in the field and this field is just one field with many fields. I’m just here and no one cares. A field within many fields, a fold amongst many folds, just a sheep standing alone that sounds ad looks no different than the others. I think that I’m nothing but an animal. And if that’s not damning enough, I begin to imagine I’m are tagged, tracked, and controlled — not by a great Shepard, but – by a group of sheep who have put themselves in charge and guide me from birth to the grave. Nothing I do is a surprise to anybody or anything. Especially to those I have somehow landed in the higher positions of power concerning this world. Nothing I have ever thought is original or inspired by a higher reality. Every idea I’ve had has either been had by many, perhaps by all, who have come before me or has been planted in my head by other sheep. The greatest act of creation I could ever produce is nothing but an outcome from a watered down classroom process or a spasm of unrealized dreams and incomplete thoughts. Generations of manic and depressed men and women who lived and died never knowing anything concrete about reality or the true nature of life have had these same ideas, thoughts, and dreams and just like them I’m going to do nothing with them and if I did no one would care because they are busy trying not to starve or freeze to death. I begin to think: there is truly no new thing under the sun. There are no revelations left to be had by anyone. The best I can ever do is reproduce in some dramatic way the failures of those who came before me.

The only difference I can see, if any, that separate the sheep like me from the other sheep is this egotistical, vanity-driven, self-serving act of writing down my thoughts and ideas. Why do I do it? It’s vanity in its grandest state directed from a place of fear. I’m afraid of being forgotten, afraid of dying, and besides the fact that somewhere deep inside I must truly think that I am somehow different and my thoughts are in some way important enough to be remembered.  I am so afraid of being just like everyone else, I do my best to be different in just a way as to not be singled out, but to be looked upon for a moment and hopefully understood.

So, I continue to try and capture the beautiful ideas with elegant word play. If I can introduce a clever character with an interesting story to a reader than it must that I am different and can possibly make a difference in a life. If I can create intelligent story lines and bring pleasure to people, I believe I can offer them reasons to exist beside just being alive and miserable. If I can make the lives of the people in my head produce answers to the hard questions so often asked by the people in real world situations than perhaps I will deserve to be remembered by those who are interested in knowing the secrets of life and the world in which we live.

In many ways, I am a sheep looking to my shepherd for direction and safety. But, sometimes, I look down at my own hoof-prints and think they are somehow different from the countless others. Simultaneously, I realize that believing I’m different, and even better in some ways, than all the other sheep is maniacal and delusional by any measure. Yet, it seems true. I hope my vain-maniacal delusion is harmless. Perhaps, if I’m very lucky, my insanity might somehow be helpful to someone, somewhere. It is, after all, the only way I know of being part of the fold.

Sometimes, I think everyone wants to believe, or at least should believe, that their hoof prints are some majestic, cosmic Morse code that can only be deciphered by other genius sheep who believe in the latest prophecy. On the outside we are the same, but, on the inside, we all feel we are special creatures captured and forced to live this current life as a sheep. There must be something that drives us and connects us to others who create and live with a similar burst of zealous understanding. We look alike, we talk alike, we all cry alike, and most of us don’t like the fact that we are all going to die alike.

To all the others in the fold, I tell you:

If you want to think that you are special and that someone, someday might come across an ancient hoof-prints you left in the mud and try to decipher it? Then, maybe you are!  Ad maybe there is a secret code embedded in all of our hoof-prints, and maybe there is not, but the only way to know is to document every step with honesty and precision. For is every life is trying to teach us the importance of being alive and now to enjoy life, then we must live as if we believe that life comes from somewhere and we will one day return to that place with the stories we have to tell. The only thing we can do today is have a willingness to wonder about everything and courage to push through the towering inferno of ignorance burning around us and dare to learn anything about something.

In To Views: a great forgotten interview

I really like this interview.   I would like to know the name of the interview and where they are now.  If you have any information please let me know.

Take a moment to read the interview.  It’s really fun to look back at thoughts from the old days.

We are a Spiritual Manifestation

This is an except from a Jordan Maxwell talk. I made it into a poem of sorts.

I am pure spirit

I always have been

I always will be

there is inside of me

a place of confidence

of quietness and security

where all things are known

and understood

this is the mind of god

of which I am apart

which responds to me

just as I ask of it

this universal mind

knows the answers

to all of my problems

even now the answers

are speeding

their way toward me

I needn’t struggle

I needn’t worry or strive

the answers will be there

I give my problems

to the great mind of God

I let go of them

confident that the answers

will return to me

when they are needed

through the great Laws

everything that I attract in life

will come to me

It is not necessary

that I strain about this

only believe it will be so

I see the hand of divine intelligence

in the flower, in the tree

the desert and the meadow

I know the intelligence

that created all these things

is in me and around me

I can call upon it

for my slightest need

I am a manifestation of that spirit

that spirit is perfect

therefore my body is perfect

therefore I can enjoy life

Each day brings

a constant demonstration

between the universe and myself

I am confident

no matter what the obstacle

it is nothing but perspective

There can be

no obstacle

to the mind of God

which is in me

around me

and serves me now

What forms your Belief?

I was reading W.K. Clifford and it put me in mind of Plato’s Meno, in which Socrates distinguishes between Opinion and Knowledge. The man who has the right Opinion knows what it true but can not say why he knows it. The man who has knowledge knows what is right and can say why.

For Socrates, it made no difference whether the actions are based upon right Opinion or Knowledge because the results would be the same. But, for Clifford the difference is crucial. He insists that every person has a responsibility to make sure that their action is based on knowledge and not only right opinion.

“The life of anyone who will not accept the responsibility of acting only on knowledge will prove to be one long mistake against mankind”. — W.K. Clifford

What is Belief and how are they created?

If I were to ask you about what your belief, what you answer?

But, before you answer, I want to say that your belief is not a private matter. Your belief concerns more than yourself. Our lives are guided by the general assumptions made by society for social purposes. Our words, our phrasings, our form, and their processes, indeed every mode of thought are common property, fashioned and perfected from age to age; heirlooms which every succeeding generation inherits as a precious deposit and sacred trust to be handed on to the next one, not unchanged but enlarged and purified with clear marks of each.

It is our belief that prompts us into action. Any belief at all holds some influence upon the action of whoever holds it. Even if the action never comes to fruition and the belief is not immediately acted upon in open deeds, it is stored up for the guidance of the future.

Imagine there was once an island where some of the inhabitants professed a belief and formed themselves into a Society for the purpose of informing the populace of their belief. They published documents and did all in their power to spread the news of their belief and get others to believe. So loud was the noise they made, that a commission was appointed to investigate the facts; but after the commission had carefully inquired into all the evidence that could be got, it appeared that their belief was unfounded. Not only was it untrue, but it became apparent that there was very little evidence to support their belief to begin with and could have been settled easily if the original believers had attempted a fair inquiry for themselves.

After these disclosures, the inhabitants of the island looked upon the members of the Society, not only as persons whose judgment should be questioned, but also as no longer to be counted as honorable. For, although they had sincerely believed in what they spread to all who would listen, they had no right to believe considering what little evidence they had before them. Their sincere convictions, instead of being honestly earned by patient inquiry, were in fact stolen by listening to the voice of prejudice and passion.

Let’s say, the investigation proved the belief to be true and the Society in the right. Would this make any difference in their guilt for believing without knowledge? Clearly, they are still guilty. Of course, they would now say: “We were right after all. Perhaps, next time you will believe us.” But that does not clear them of the guilt, it only means they were not found out.

The Perfect Day

Sometimes, someone has a bad day. No, that’s not right at all.  Everyone of us have bad days. But, we find numerous ways to deal with it. Each of us something different. There are those who find clever ways to ignore the bad happening. These people can be said to only see the good things that happen. Then, there are those who have a habit of dwelling on the bad happening and allow it to affect the rest of the day. These two approaches are pretty much the limit of dealing with a bad day.

But, there are a growing number of people who recreate the bad day over and over again. Examples of this are: couples who argue over the same issues every morning, employees who take the same route to work and find themselves upset, rude and flustered, many who repeat the same day expecting a different tomorrow.

The fear of Scarcity and Victimization makes up 99% of human thinking. The idea that there is not enough keep most of us from taking chances. Everything that happened yesterday becomes an excuse of why today is the way it is, why someone is the way they are, why someone does not have what they want to have.

There are so many creative people in the world, I can fairly say that one is reading this now. Are you a creative person? Do you have a creative soul? Do you want to change your life? I have an idea that might make a difference in your day. First, let’s think about your day and how you want it to start and end.

Then, plan your perfect day.

Write it hour by hour like a film script. Be as detailed as you want to be. Who are the characters? What is the goal of the play (the day)?  Since you are the protagonist, who or what is the antagonist? Be specific and really look at your day as if you have control over how it is going to play out.

This is one thing that needs to be done because at some point you have to take responsibility for the day you create. You are the reason your day is the way it is. You created it with your mind, with your actions, and with your fear based intention.

Write your perfect day and begin to make it a reality. Do not write it from scarcity or fear. But, instead, write the day as if there is no bounds, nothing off limits, and you can be exactly the person you are.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.

Five Minutes Will Change Everything

The twentieth century was Hell on Earth for many people. Millions upon millions suffered unspeakable horrors; from the two wars that ripped through land, home and soul to the depressions and famines People say the lucky ones died quickly. Some slowly starved to death, some became ill, some died at the hands of criminals, others committed suicide, and some came through only to realize they lost themselves somewhere along the way.

It was absolute misery. Human reek and stench filled the nose, moldy food filled the mouth, unpaid bills filled the hand, and the absence of productivity filled the mind. Yet, everywhere someone held the promise of hope, all the time lost and all the pain felt was marked as a defining moment in their life.

If someone doesn’t have terrible moments to look back on, they won’t consider the amazing blessings they have before them Things such as depression and anxiety grip the masses and keeps them from enjoying life, erasing the possibilities of their pursuit and replacing it with loneliness and fear.

Drugs help and counseling has it’s place, but nothing is as affective as living everyday to it’s fullest degree. Good days and bad days, even hell on Earth, manipulate the equation of life and change the outcome of each and every moment; so much so, that the memory of a once hellish moment factors into the present and changes what one feels about then and now.

If you are depressed, if you are lonely, if you are anxious go outside. I urge you to take a step in a new direction. Just for five minutes do the thing that you so badly want to try, do the thing you think you can’t, press yourself to reach farther than you did yesterday, and for those five minutes you will be a super human because you are doing what you thought was impossible. Sp, you truly became a Super You.

No matter the life, no matter the station, no matter the family you were born into, you can be the person you want to be. Whether you want to be an artist, a musician, a writer, or maybe you’ve been dreading the crowd at the local store, you can do it. All of it.

You are capable of amazing things because you are an amazing person. You are a unique person and all your dreams are  front and center, waiting for you to believe in yourself enough to claim them. The only thing that stopped you from being the person you’ve always wanted to be is the fact that you’ve not thought it possible. Something, or possibly someone, made you believe that you weren’t worthy of the dreams you have, that whether or not you will achieved your goals depended on someone else. Well, you are worthy and whether or not you reach your dreams depends on you.

Five minutes, right now, will change your life forever. Write that story, draw that picture, play that song, face that crowd, become that person you want to be.  Being a Super You will get easier five minutes at a time.

You Create Reality

This overall statement will seem like a lie. Nevertheless, it is true. I am able to wish things into my life and I can do it rather fast. I simply think about what I want and within a few days I get it. It even happens within hours sometimes, even minutes.

Today, I wanted an almanac calendar that showed the 12 Signs of Man throughout the month. You might know what I’m talking about, what with some of you being into the spiritual side of things, but if not, it’s the part of the calendar that labels everyday with a part of the body.

Well, guess what, I got one for free. I think this happens because I know the universe is abundant and overflowing with the things we desire.

Just think of it. What do you want?

I truly believe that through subconscious thought we create every moment of our lives and the lives of the people around us. I happen to see it in everyone’s life. I see it because I know how it works. I know how the universe operates, how the creation is also part of the creator. We are the Princes and Princesses of the of Universe.

We exist inside of a mechanism that works to provide our desires and our struggles. Let’s face it, we are constantly searching for knowledge and want to know who we are.  But most of us don’t believe we can have everything we want.

Why?

Because we were told all of this as a child. Money doesn’t grow on trees, jobs are hard work, putting food on the table is not easy, someday you’ll see how hard being an adult really is.

And so, we make it that way because the most influential people in our life told us that is the way it is, for everyone. Well, not for everyone. There are those who have it all. They are the cheaters, the liars, the people who rip others off and live off of the hard work of others.

So, it’s no wonder that we have a negative belief about rich people who seem to have everything.

We think: I’m going to work hard for the things I have because that’s how an honest person lives. So, that is the life you create for yourself.

I believe that I am a Son of God, a Prince of the Universe, that my Almighty Creator placed inside of me His Powerful Spirit and by it I am empowered to live in abundance and a fulfilled destiny.  If I can imagine it, I can have it. Just as it says in the 10th chapter of Genesis.

Who do you believe you are? Who creates your reality? Do things happen to you or do you do things?

Are you a victim of this universe ?

Automatic Writing, Channeling, or Dowsing Fiction

Dowsing Fiction: Part 1
“Getting in Touch with Yourself”

by thadd presley

There are many ways to get into the flow of writing. But, lately the usual hasn’t been working for me. Things like music, background noises, even sounds from the forest right outside my house have been distracting enough to interrupt my train of thought. And if you are a writer or happen to live with a writer, possibly even if you know a writer, you know all there is to know about not breaking their focus. It’s brutal for you and them. Trust me, a writer’s frustration towards anyone who interrupts them is worse than the painters, musicians, and maniacs put together. But, through this dark mass of frustration, I have found a new device I’m willing to try. One which I would like to share with you.

It’s a method called automatic writing, but you must be warned that some believe it to be dangerous. Their fear is somewhat justified by numerous accounts throughout history. The danger, they say, comes from the idea that automatic writing is a form of spirit possession. The same way a medium channels the dead, an automatic writer is allowing someone besides themselves to control their body. By doing so they are opening a doorway, much like an Ouija board, which could create a connection with something other than intended.

My own belief about the dangers of automatic writing is this: Thereis always a chance of being influenced by a spirit, or the entire spirit world, just as we are being influenced by demons or helped by angels every moment of everyday of our life. I believe completely in the invisible world. So, my warning, is to become smarter everyday by researching things before you attempt them.

We know many of many instances, places, things, and even people that open us up to the influences from the spirit world, so it’s nothing we haven’t experienced before. We’ve all been to church, temple, or mosque and felt a higher force guiding us, and we’ve all heard a song and been transported to another time and place by the music, we all been in a group and heard a convincing speaker, or read something that made us emotional, and we’ve all been subjected to ideas and thoughts not our own. Automatic writing is no different. However, a little caution and a little research goes a long way on the first day of any project.

On this first day, anyone wanting to attempt automatic writing should not focus on the writing coming from anywhere but inside of themselves. Trying to understand the story inside of yourself should be the point of this exercise. To divine your own purpose, your own story, and access your higher self, or your subconscious mind as as some might put it, will unlock a treasure of knowledge that has been suppressed throughout your life.

The step by step guide on how to begin automatic writing will be in the next part.  For now, I urge anyone interested in this method to research meditation and choose a style to practice. Also read about an Egyptian named Thoth and allow the knew knowledge to guide you.

Helping Others

The Art and Magic of Helping Others

by Thadd Presley

Why do we do things for others? Why bother? Our hearts tell us to puts others first, but it often doesn’t make sense to us on the surface. I’d like to know the answer to many of these questions, but one of them comes ahead of all the rest: why do we desire to put ourselves last? It just seems backward to let others go first. Why do we say “yes” when we want to say “no?” Doesn’t it make more sense to help ourselves and allow others to benefit from the wealth, health, and knowlegde we aquire afterwards? It might seem that way but that’s not the way the universe words.

The universe? What does that have to do with anything?
The universe is everything out there and we are stuck down here.

What if I told you that we can have anything we want, but we have to ask for it?
Seem like magic? I know, it does.
And that is exactly what it looks like when it happens.
The easiest way for me to explain it is like this: the more help you give someone else, the more power and influence you will have over the infinite resources of the universe.
I know that sounds like a fairy-tale and many people have not witnessed this amazing miracle in their lives, but it is true and it happens all of the time to ordinary people just like me.
I am living proof that this concept pays off quickly and unfailingly. I am a walking-talking billboard of generosity that comes from the magical, fantastical universe.

There are times I talk with my friends about “asking the universe” for what you want. It never fails to intrigue them and I can see the doubt in their eyes. But they listen because they want it to be true so bad.
It often amazes when what I’m telling them begins to happen. Not eventually, but usually very quickly. If the magic does not happen immediately, it’s within that day or at most the next. It’s just a fact of the universe, I tell them, and together we are absolutely amazed. No matter how or when it happens, whoever I’m sharing my “magic” with is there to witness it and they become endowed with the gift as well.

They always had the power to ask the universe, but they didn’t believe it would ever work for them. They lacked faith. All the stories through out history of miracles, magicians, and even Jesus wasn’t enough to give them the faith to try it. But, seeing it happen one time pushed them over the threshold into a new world. In to a world where they are creators as well as the created.

You think none of this can be true, right?. That there’s no way the universe just give people the things they ask for. You might think that for many reasons, but one of the biggest seeds of doubt is myself (the writer of this post.) You might doubt because I’m not super wealthy or wildly successful person. In fact, you’ve probably never heard of me and until now never read a word I’ve written. If that is true, then I’m very happy you are still reading this and I have a lot of work to do.

What if I told you I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do and I have more than enough money than I need? Would you think that’s a miracle all by itself? If not, I want to share a few of the things I did. I’m not bragging, I’m only documenting.

Things I’ve done that most people won’t get to:

toured as a bass player in a rock and roll band
opened for a world famous band
met famous rock stars from America and Europe
worked with famous people
published several books (fiction and poetry)
recorded a great album with a rock band
recorded a solo album
currently publishing a fiction blog
work for myself writing fiction and other things
traveled the United States and a bit of Canada,
met a woman at 23 who still loves me and I love her,
live in a great place with a great view from the porch
found an endless supply of freedom and love

I could go on but I don’t want this to be about what I have, but instead about doing for others.

I have a huge problem saying NO. I just can’t do it. More often than not, I put other people before myself and my own needs.Yeah, you can probably understand how I came to write this and that putting myself last begins to get old. All of this is largely my fault.

I don’t have to say YES, YES, YES to everyone and constantly create scenarios where I feel used. Instead, very recently, I have realized that I have to say YES to myself sometimes. This will allow me to be in a better place when it comes time to help others.

You see what happened there?

I am putting myself first, but it’s for others. It’s not a selfish desire to want to help myself. It’s not selfish to want things. By putting myself ahead of another person, especially when it’s done in the interest of helping them, will demonstrate (to myself and them) that I am useful and important.

Helping others demonstrates my strength and knowledge of the world around me and it shows my respect for the universe that gives me the strength and resources in the first place. If I give my time and talent the respect it deserves, then people around me will begin to see that my help is a gift. It is not only given freely, but it is efficient and powerful.

More than anything, by helping others, I will see myself as a needed part in, not only my own life, but in the existence of others. If I allow myself to be run down and used to the point of being useless, then I’ll lose confidence in my own ability and begin to doubt myself. At that point, I won’t be able to help anyone or myself.

Frequency Shift: A Metaphysical Exchance (part 4)

Frequency Shift:
A Metaphysical Exchance
(part 4)

Magic and Miracles follow me everywhere I go. You can ask around if you don’t believe me. I’m am using the Alchemist in me to create new things. Life is an adventure designed to teach us all how to turn energy into things we need. Bad energy can be converted into good and then changed into substance. On the other side, good energy can be used for greed and other thoughtless acts which will create great future interference and struggle. This is my mantra for today: Magic and Miracles follow me everywhere I go. Magic and Miracles follow me everywhere I go.

I learned from one of my all time favorite family members a quick way to silence your thoughts. I know it sounds impossible, especially to those who understand meditation and how important it is to have control over our thoughts in times of stress, but it is not impossible. It requires asking yourself a question.

“Who a I?” Ask yourself this question honestly and you will find yourself in a truly quiet moment.

These rare moments of silence are important and hard to achieve, but through this question, asked honestly, you will find a quiet that is not artificial or forced.

Don’t be too concerned if people learn about you meditating or laugh at the idea that thoughts can really create something real. Just because they don’t think like you or value your vision doesn’t mean they won’t benefit from your quiet times. Remember that nno matter how magnificent the sun truly is, people still complain about it. What is more importantly, is that you practice this thought: how will this serve me?

How will the new information you learn from meditating, they new information you learn abobut yourself, make you into a better person?  Only you must accept who you are. 100% acceptance of who you are is the beginning of understanding how you are creating your own reality.

What did you think about when you closed you eyes to meditate?
What was the first scene you saw floating before your eyes when you tried to shut everything out?
Who’s voice did you hear first?
What did they say?
Who were they speaking to?
How did it make you feel?
What memory do you have of meditating yesterday?

These questions will help you put your thoughts in order, help you understand what is always lurking behind the scenes putting “ideas”into your head, and it’ll show you a better layout of the map you have to navigate to bring a thought you “want” to have to the front of your mind. And once you have a better idea of what is in your mind, you will have a better idea of why certain things are in your life.

Yesterday I hung out with my brother and we had a long discussion on why people act a certain way towards people. We shared personal stories and how we should interpret other people’s actions towards ourselves. We came to the conclusion that we don’t see the other person’s feelings. Instead we see their actions and hear their words, but we don’t really know what they are feeling. And this void is very important to us as people. To know what people feel is to know why they acted a certain way. So, what does our brain do in order to fill in the blank?  It replaces the unknown with a “known” and tries to figure out what the action means.

The important thing about living our lives and being the best version of ourselves we can be, is knowing that what someone else thinks doesn’t matter. What I think of myself is the most important thought we could ever have the answer to.

So ask yourself: Who am I?
Do it today when you sit own to meditate and enjoy the silence.
